Louise Cross has worked in casting for 25 years. She was assistant to Joyce Nettles for 12 years, working with her on theatre, tv and film projects for directors such as Jonathan Kent, Alan Rickman, Jack Gold, Thomas Vinterberg and Lars von Trier. Since setting up Louise Cross Casting in 2006, Louise has continued to work in both television and film. She was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award for Best Casting in 2021 for ’The Pembrokeshire Murders. Louise works predominantly out of London & Cardiff.
Her respect for actors and producers/directors alike, means she makes the audition process both enjoyable and productive for everyone. A stickler for detail, with an extensive knowledge of the Pact/Equity TV and Cinema Agreements, Louise works methodically and ensures that all parties are protected and actors are contracted to a high professional standard. She prides herself on strong ties/relationships with leading theatrical agencies in the UK.
A regular theatre-goer and an avid tv/film viewer, she is constantly expanding the pool of actors from which she casts, both in the UK and overseas.
